A few images of the sunrise this morning over Minneapolis taken from my balcony on the 14th floor in Loring Park.

Images were taken with the iPhone 4s and the PRO HDR iPhone app and slightly edited in Nikon Capture NX2 software.

Minneapolis Sunset – May 14, 2012

Using my trusty iPhone 4S along with the PRO HDR – high dynamic range photography app I captured a few shots of the of beautiful sunset looking to the west from the Loring Park neighborhood. Photo was taken from my 14th floor balcony and slightly edited in Capture NX to add a little more contrast and sharpen it a bit.

Loring Vue Apartments – Tower Crane Installation – Part Two

This weekend construction of a tower crane was done in my neighborhood. The crane is for the new seven story Loring Vue apartments that are being built on a site that was formerly a surface parking lot for many decades. While I’m exciting to have this new building being added to my neighborhood – it also affords me another photography project to document so when they started to construct the crane I was pretty excited as my 14th floor condo gave me an excellent vantage point for this. I also got lucky in that they did this activity on a weekend instead of during the work week. So I was able to get lots of images while they worked from about 7:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday.

All images (except last image) were shot with the Nikon D3s and the 300mm f2.8 lens with a 2x teleconverter attached.

Loring Park Evening – April 7, 2012

A beautiful evening in Loring Park in Minneapolis as the sun was low in the sky. Stopped by the park to get a few quick shots. I use to think the squirrels were a little too friendly in Loring Park, but after a duck and a canadian goose came within a foot of me to see if I had any food I’m beginning to think any any animal in Loring Park is super friendly and willing to approach for a chance at some food.

Thursday, February 9, 2012 the Edina Hornets played the Buffalo Bison at Braemar Arena in Edina. More photos from this game can be viewed on my main website at twincitiesphotography.com

Images were shot using the Nikon D3s, 300mm Nikkor f2.8 lens with 1.4 tele convertor and most images were taken at 1/1250s, f4.5 or f5, auto ISO, auto white balance.

Thursday February 2, 2012 Edina and Eden Prairie played at Braemar Arena. Using my Nikon D3s, the Nikkor 300mm f2.8 lens with the 1.4 teleconverter, 1/1250s, f4.5, auto ISO and auto white-balance produced more great images from this great camera.

Saturday January 28, 2012 I shot photos at Braemar Arena of Edina playing Wayzata – this was the 100th gallery of images I’ve posted to my main website of hockey games – the first gallery was shot on February 21, 2008 – four years ago. A total of 23, 479 hockey images online now.
