February 14, 2013 – Valentines game at Braemar Arena – Wayzata Trojans played the Edina Hornets. All images were shot with the Nikon D3s, 300mm Nikkor f2.8 lens with a 1.4 tele convertor, auto ISO, auto white balance and edited in Nikon Capture NX.

Edina vs. Minnetonka Skippers Varsity Hockey – January 17, 2013

Edina played one of their crosstown rivals, the Minnetonka Skippers. The game was close through out all three periods but Minnetonka won 4-3. Below are some selected images from the Varsity game. All images were taken with the Nikon D3s, the Nikkor 300mm f2.8 VR lens with the Nikkor 1.4 teleconverter attached. Shutter speed was typically 1/1000s, f5, auto ISO and auto white balance. ISO generally ranged from 3000-6400

2012 Edina Holiday Classic – Elk River vs. Grand Rapids Varsity Boys Hockey

Last night the Elk River Elks played against the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks at Braemar Ice Arena on the final night of the 31st Annual Edina Holiday Classic. It was an exciting game with a huge team against team fight at the end – something I’ve never seen before at a game at Braemar.

As part of the 31st Annual Edina Holiday Classic on December 21, 2012 Edina played Elk River in a pretty exciting game – a scoreless first period which was unusual for Edina.

Over the next three days I’ll be attending all the Varsity games of the 31st Annual Boys Hockey Edina Holiday Classic at Braemar Arena. These games are held December 20, 21, 22, 2012.
